The difference between rapier looms and jet looms
The difference between twisted edges and edge tissue edges:
1) Usually, polyester cotton yarn is used as a rapier (locking device), and filament is woven by jet weaving (planetary gear device).
2) Jet double opening fabric, with one side being thread and the other side being silk. (The middle is a locking device, with planetary gears installed on both sides).
3) The rapier is double open, and the yarns on both sides are polyester cotton (both are locking devices).
Loom identification
Rapier loom: uses rigid or flexible rapier heads and straps to maintain and guide weft yarn. The rapier loom is not only suitable for weaving plain and textured fabrics, but also has the characteristic of easy color change. It is suitable for multi color weft fabrics, and is suitable for the production of color woven, double-layer velvet fabrics, loop fabrics, and decorative fabrics.
Jet loom: The weft yarn is pulled by a compressed air nozzle and passes through the shed. Jet looms have the characteristics of fast speed and high labor productivity, and are suitable for plain and textured fabrics, fine and dense fabrics, and large-scale fabrics.
Advantages and disadvantages of grey fabric
1. Generally, jet produced greige fabrics have a wide variety of fine yarns with a higher grade, mainly consisting of lightweight fabrics; Generally speaking, there are many varieties of coarse count yarn on rapier looms, with lower grades, mainly heavy fabrics.
From the perspective of equipment, jet swords and rapiers are only different in weft insertion.
3. Weaving the same structure of fabric, with the same raw material cost and lower weaving cost, such as twill. The spraying speed can reach over 800 revolutions per minute, and the arrow shaft is only about 180-200 revolutions per minute. A nozzle can accommodate 10-12 sets and 4-6 arrow shafts.
Commonalities and Differences
Commonality: They are all rough edges and can be of the same specification.
Differences: Under the premise of the same yarn count and specifications.
① The weight of the jet is slightly lighter The flatness of jet plain fabric is better than that of rapier production The shrinkage rate of fabrics on jet looms is correspondingly high The quality of jet yarn is better than that of rapier yarn.
